This is a closer view of the control panel assembly on the front of the case with the front bezel removed.

This is a view of the control panel assembly from inside the case.

To remove the control panel assembly:

1. Disconnect the cables for the hard disk drive.
2. Hold the piece of the control panel assembly as shown in the graphics below, and pull back from the front of the case.
3. Pull the assembly slightly to the right and then back away from the chassis. This clears the alignment tabs from the slots in the chassis.
