Remove and Replace the Top Accent Panel

Perform the following steps to remove and replace the accent panel on the top of the case.

Notes:

  • The first time that the accent panel is removed from the top of the case, a loud cracking noise is heard. This is normal. The top accent is not broken and can be reattached.
  • Do not pick up the case by the top accent piece. It is not designed as a handle and cannot support the weight of the case.

Remove the top accent

  1. Insert your fingers into the recessed area on the top of the case.

  2. Lift the top accent up and away from the top of the case.

Replace the top accent

This is a view of the top of the case without the top accent attached.

To reattach the top acccent, align the tabs on the back of the top accent into the slots on the top of the case and press downward. The top accent snaps back into place.
