eMachines Recovery Management Software

The eMachines Recovery Management software allows you with an easy way to back up or restore the Operating system on your computer. To launch the eMachines Recovery Management software:
  1. Click on Start and then All Programs
  2. Click on the eMachines folder
  3. Double click on eMachines Recovery Management

The eMachines Recovery Management software overview:

Backup tab

This tab gives you the options to create a set of eMachines Recovery Media or to create a backup disc with the drivers and applications that shipped with the computer.

The available options are:

Restore tab

This tab gives you the options to reinstall the Operating System in a variety of ways, or to just install the drivers or applications of your choice.

The available options are:

  • Completely Restore System to Factory Defaults - Restores the computer the factory settings, all data on the computer is removed and cannot be recovered.
  • Restore Operating System and Retain User Data - Restores the Operating System on the computer, files within the User accounts folders are moved to "c:\backup".
  • Reinstall Drivers and Applications - Launches the application used to reinstall the drivers and applications on the computer.

Settings tab

This tab gives allows you to create or change the password for the eMachines Recovery Management program.

Note: Ensure that the password is not forgotten or lost as it cannot be restored if it is forgotten or lost.

Help tab

This tab launches the help file for the eMachines Recovery Management software.
